Hollywood Swagger recently caught up with the multi-talented Crystal Monique. This hair dresser turned model has big plans for 2011, and you can read all about them below.
HS: First and foremost please tell our readers a little about yourself.
Crystal: I am 26 years young just started pursuing my modeling career in 2010 kind of late due to my career as a hair dresser/makeup artist but it is well worth the effort. So far it has been great and have had lots of opportunities presented to me. My goal is to be featured in Playboy and or Maxim, as well as make it big as a hair dresser and open up my very own upscale hair salon- the possibilitys are endless!
HS: Where did you grow up and how long have you lived in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area?
Crystal: I was born in Los Angeles, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when I was 8 and that’s were I was raised. I moved back to the Los Angeles area when I was 18, which is where I am now currently located.
HS: You started as a hair dresser/makeup artist and transitioned into modeling, has it been an easy transition for you?
Crystal: The transition from a hair dresser/ makeup artist to a model has been easy. These are 3 things I’ve always wanted to do and I knew I’d at least give everyone one of these a shot.
HS: Our website is all about the swagger, or energy, that comes with the city of Hollywood- in what ways do you notice that this city is different than anywhere else in the world?
Crystal: Being that I grew up in a small Mormon state, compared to an over populated state, there are so many more things to do in the Hollywood area…which is a big plus in my book. The styles are very different, the energy level is much higher, and there’s many more opportunities!
HS: What are your long-term goals with your modeling?
Crystal: To be featured in a magazine… then I can really say I made it!
HS: What does a normal day consist of for a multi-talented hair dresser/makeup artist/model like yourself?
Crystal: My days usually consist of working as a hair dresser most of my day, booking future appointments with existing/new clientele; and I fit in photoshoots throughout the week.
HS: What do you like to do in your leisure time for fun?
Crystal: I’m not much of a party/clubbing kinda girl. I’m much more into nice dinners with friends, day at the spa, beach, shopping, family outings, and amusement parks.
HS: Any upcoming project our plans that your fans should look out for?
Crystal: Yes, I have plans to do submissions to Maxim hometown hotties!
HS: Now that it’s the start of 2011, did you make any new year’s resolutions?
Crystal: Resolution for 2011 are to do more photoshoots and submissions; as well as invest more time and money towards my hair salon.
